Urip Ariyanto, or commonly called by the name Mbah Surip, has died on Tuesday, August 4 2009 at 10:30 WIB. Singer with the famous song "Tak Gendong" the opportunity was Pusdikkes Hospital, East Jakarta.
Before become a singer, Mbah Surip was various professions. Start working in the oil drilling, diamond mines, and even men who have a degree Drs, Engineering, MBA, and has venture abroad such as Canada, Texas, Jordan, and California.
Because he wanted to speculate, Mbah Surip went to Jakarta and join the community of artists such as Teguh Karya, Aquila, Bulungan, and Taman Ismail Marzuki. In the journey as musicians, he has issued several albums since 1997. Some of the album as IJO ROYO-ROYO (1997), INDONESIA I (1998), REFORMASI (1998), TAK GENDONG (2003), and BARANG BARU (2004).
